The British Horse Society and the University of Nottingham are excited to be launching a new joint project to generate essential information on equine wound healing.

Despite being one of the most common emergency conditions seen in the horse, there is currently a significant lack of data on equine wound healing. With the help of owners we are hoping to document a large prospective case series of traumatic equine wounds.

We need your help!

If you own or care for a horse that has suffered a wound we need your help so we can capture information on a range of injuries. Your support will help us improve horse welfare. We are collecting data up until August 2019.

You can track the progress of this study on both the BHS and Nottingham Colic and Wound Project social media pages. https://www.facebook.com/TheBritishHorseSociety/posts/10156777177478343
